Membership Sections

Our members enjoy a full programme of golf throughout the year. Aside from tees reserved for competitions & matches, there are only tee bookings on a Sunday morning which means that unlike many other Clubs, you can just turn up and play.

There is a strong Men’s section at Bearsted with teams entered in the Kent League, the East Kent League, the Guildford Trophy and many friendly matches with other Clubs in Kent throughout the season. With various knockout competitions running throughout the summer, and a Winter League from October to March, the section is well supported and welcomes players off all handicaps.

We have an active and welcoming Ladies section at Bearsted offering membership to Ladies of all golfing abilities, whether new to the game or returning after a break.

With regular organised weekly competitions throughout the year, the section regularly competes in competitions and friendlies against other Clubs.

Our Ladies enjoy friendly matches against other Clubs during the year; these are played as fourball betterball and are a very popular fixture with the Ladies.

The County’s premier competitions are well supported with teams being entered in various events throughout the year such as the Pearson Trophy and the Mail on Sunday National Golf Club Classic.

Our Lady members enjoy medal and stableford competitions on a monthly basis. There are also a great many honours board competitions, the most prestigious of which is the Club Championship, a 36-hole stroke play event.

We are always keen to welcome new Lady members of all golfing abilities and our Ladies ensure new members feel welcome both on and off the course.

The Seniors’ section for the over 60’s and over 70’s is a very active and well supported section of the Club and members enjoy league competitions with home and away matches. There are 12 friendly matches against other local Clubs during the year.

The section runs knockout competitions as well as major trophy competitions with one of the most popular being the Vets Open, attracting visitors from over 30 Clubs throughout Kent.

Any golfer in search of a casual and friendly game is never short of company at Bearsted.

At Bearsted we are committed to developing the skills of our junior golfers and are proud to support and encourage our junior members to play.

Our junior membership offers attractive rates for age ranges 9-13 and 14-17 and there is no joining fee.

All juniors have full access to our 18 hole course and our excellent practice facilities. They can enter junior competitions and those with handicaps can compete in main Club competitions.

Many of our young golfers have gone on to great success in the golfing world, with some having competed on the European Tour, Challenge Tour and Euro Pro Tour, and in The Open Championship.

You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy the fantastic facilities on offer at Bearsted. As a social member you will enjoy:
